In From The Cold

Jay came for 3 days,

The crippling cold of this Boston winter

Drove my youngest son to Coronado.

As I had chosen 18 years ago to opt for

This “almost” island

Made his choice seemed predictable.

Arguably those 3 days were drab.

Surely the worst weather we had all winter.

Still I can’t really call them hellacious.

We had some showers and it never reached 70.

Jay commented on the beach volleyball game

Played in shorts by young guys.

“They suffer well.”
